Antiviral Medicinal Plants
and Natural Products Database

About avMpNp Database

The avMpNp database (Antiviral Medicinal Plants and Natural Products) is a structured collection of information on chemically diverse compounds with antiviral activity, derived from medicinal plants and natural products. It was developed with the aim of centralizing and making available relevant knowledge related to antiviral drug discovery. The avMpNp database gathers information on bioactive compounds with therapeutic potential, isolated from medicinal plants and other natural resources, which have been investigated for their activity against viruses.

Related Databases

To complement the data extracted from the bibliographic research regarding potential antiviral bioactive compounds, we searched public DB such as PubChem, ZINC, HMDB, NuBBEDB, AVPCD, DRAVP. This research provided, in addition to the information of bioactive compounds with potential antiviral activity, a preliminary characterization of these DB, since knowing the architecture of these DB is a relevant strategy for evaluating their functionality and scope.
